My First Card Creations

It all started when my lovely sister talked me into making cards for a friend of hers and I was pleasantly surprised that she was more than happy to pay for them. In the past I have given them away with little thought to recompense. But this turn of events lead me to think that maybe someone else out there would appreciate my cards too.  I've been selling cards and other paper crafts for quite a while now....mostly at private parties, and I love it.  It's great getting paid to do something I am passionate about and absolutely enjoy!  How many people can say that these days?

So, here am I, looking at making cards to sell online to those who love and appreciate the handmade look.  My cards are one of a kind, and made using heavyweight cards and envelopes.

So here is a look at the very first cards I made for sale.  I hope you enjoy!

Welcome to My Blog

I'm a stay-at-home mum with my gorgeous husband and 10 year old son. I am very blessed to have them in my life, as they are my constant support and encouragement, and allow me to spend my days creating and designing my crafts.

I love to create things, hence this new blog called E creations. I love anything crafty: scrapbooking, card-making, embroidery, quilting - you name it.  I tried my hand at all forms of crafts, but it wasn't until I was 6 months pregnant with my darling son, that I discovered Scrapbooking and Quilting. WOW I was in Heaven! The very first quilt I made was a queen sized bed quilt for my bed. Talk about starting small! I never took classes, but was taught by my best friend - she's a real gem.

Scrapbooking was my favourite. I was hooked, which quite quickly became an obsession! I loved the tactile feel of papers, and embellishments. Thankfully my husband was supportive and didn't complain about my spending. Everyday I would sit there and scrap for hours creating my pages, 6 months pregnant with very very swollen feet. Trust me, I never complained! That was 10 years ago. In the meantime I have created many scrapbooking albums that document our family history, as presents for family and friends, and for sale. I love making cards. I love bright, fun, and happy colours...so much like me :-). I've been selling my cards and crafts for a while now and am very passionate about what I do.

I decided to start this blog as a way to document my creative journey and share it with others, who also like making 'stuff' like me. Come and visit me often and see what I am up too and maybe you too will find something interesting. Please feel free to leave me a comment as I'd love to hear from you.
